Lycoming Centre's Sewing Group

The LCPC Sewing Group had a good 2007 Winter of sewing.
We had 12 members total with an average of 10 in attendance each week.
We had our last Winter meeting March 26, 2007.
Women and men are welcome to meet with us in the Winter- January, 2008.
We made and contributed to Sycamore Manor Health Center the following:
8--neck pillows
65-- lap robes
30-- wheelchair arm bags
15--wheelchair back bags
10--walker bags
30--catheter bag covers
We worked for four weeks cutting bags and lap robe patches so we are ready for next year projects.
Our volunteer hours totaled 579 hours x $5.15 minimum wage = grand sum of $2981.85.
We thank our church family for all the silky items and stockings for the neck pillow filler,
washable medium material for lap robe quilt patches, washable heavy weight material for all the bags,
and for the flannel and white sheets that one of the sewing group member gets
while rummaging through boxes at yard sales all year long.
We were guests at the Volunteer Luncheon at Sycamore Manor Health Center on April 19, 2007.
