Text Box: September: Return to Regular Worship Schedule
So … how was your summer? quiet and restful or busy with much activity? I was looking forward to a summer of restfulness but I forgot, with God’s blessing of our three grandchildren, the summer became very busy and active. Perhaps you too may be looking forward to the return of fall and a schedule that is more orderly. On Sunday September 6th Lycoming Centre will return to our regular schedule:
Traditional Worship 8:30 AM
Sunday School 9:45 AM
Blended Worship 11:00 AM

We hope everyone took some time to enjoy the fellowships after the worship service as our two services came together for the summer. We bring glory to God as we worship Him together and fellowship with one another.

 Teen Helper’s Needed
If you are of the age to be in the Junior High or Senior High Class, Worship Committee would ask you to be in prayer about serving as a Teen Helper in the nursery during the 11:00 worship time. This can be a time of fun but also of responsibility as you help care for and nurture our little ones. If you feel God is leading you to serve please sign the Teen Helper sign-up sheet in Taylor Hall. All teens who sign-up must first attend a class on childcare given by Parish Nurse Peg Redka before they can serve in the nursery. After you have attended the childcare class a schedule will be available in Taylor Hall to choose the Sundays you are able to serve. Only one teen will be allowed to serve each week. It is also important that you attend worship services so we ask that there is a space of at least four Sunday’s before you serve again. We hope to begin using Teen Helpers in September so please sign up soon so we can schedule a childcare class.

Text Box: Sanctuary Flowers
Text Box: We would like to thank Betty Johnston for faithfully supplying fresh cut flowers from her gardens for in the sanctuary each Sunday from spring through fall. They are a beautiful and colorful addition for the sanctuary. If anyone else would like to provide flowers at any time, especially over the winter months, it would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps you would like to honor a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion or place them in memory of a loved one. Simply follow the directions listed below:
Sign the notebook in the foyer for the desired date.
Call Pat Bertrand at 494-0474 so that the information will be in the bulletin.
Call or go to the florist to select your flowers. (Unless you are able to make the arrangement yourself.) Pay the florist directly for your purchase.
Have the flowers delivered on Friday when Pat is in the office or pick them up and place them in the sanctuary so they are there before the first service. (Please do not give out the security code for the side door.)

After the second service you may take the arrangement with you or request that it be given to a shut-in member of our church family.
