Book Group - A Unique Opportunity

             The book group will meet Sunday, November 23 at 6 PM.  We will be reading Mark Noll’s “The Civil War as a Theological Crisis”.   Professor Noll shows how both the North and South appealed to Scripture to justify their cause and both sides seemed confident that “God was on their side”.  What is unique about this meeting is that Karen Younger, PhD will be guiding us through the discussion.  Dr. Younger, who is the Managing  Director of the Richards Civil War Center at Penn State, is eminently qualified to lead such a discussion.  The book is available online and there are several copies available to borrow.  Please join us.  If you would like to borrow a copy of the book, please call Bill Beltz at 323-1361.

             The chimes will be dusted off and the Bell Choir will once again begin to practice and play occasionally for services.  The time commitment will be minimal.
