Session Digest of October 16th Meeting

             The October stated meeting of the Session of Lycoming Centre Presbyterian Church was called to order in Faith Center on October 16, 2008 at 6:30 P.M. by the Moderator, Rev William Younger. The meeting was constituted with prayer by Elder Carol Pryor.. A quorum was present.

             The minutes of August 21, 2008 and September 18, 2008 were approved.

             The reports of the Financial Secretary, Benevolence Treasurer, Capital Fund Treasurer and Memorial Fund Treasurer were presented covering the period from September 1, 2008 to September 30, 2008. The reports were received and filed for audit.

Pastor’s Report: The pastor reported that Lycoming Centre's motion to reverse the Northumberland Presbytery practice of making up the withheld per capita funds from PCUSA failed at the September 20, 2008 meeting of the Presbytery. Long range planning issues are being referred to the Administrative Committee.
