Volume 1, Issue 1

As of this writing we are six weeks away for the Living Nativity                   Outreach to the community.  Promotional materials will be ready shortly  for you to take to friends and places of employment.  In addition we will be on the radio and will also be featured in the Webb Weekly in November.  So, you ask, what does that have to do with the Centre News???  Well, based on the experience of 2005, Pat will spend MANY, MANY hours taking reservations for the Living Nativity which will prevent preparations for the newsletter.  So the plan is to skip the November issue and have an earlier December issue.  All contributors are asked to have articles and dates to Pat NO LATER than Thursday December 11th at 9:00 AM.  The combined December and January issue will hopefully be sent out no later than December 18th. Thanks for your help and understanding in this matter.

When a national day of thanksgiving was established on the fourth Thursday in November, it was not because that was a particularly thankful day. It was intentionally chosen precisely because of its arbitrariness to remind us to say “thanks” on a daily basis for the bounties God has heaped upon our lives.
For Christians, every Sunday is a Thanksgiving feast day. Every Sunday at worship, we give thanks for the greatest event ever to hit planet Earth, the greatest “opening” in human history — the open tomb, testifying to Jesus’ resurrection. Every Sunday is Thanksgiving Sunday. Every Sunday dinner is Thanksgiving dinner.

Routinely Grateful
